Wonderful story if you like fantasy - a bit gory in some places! I love the series. Would definitely recommend these books.
Highly recommended read and very intriguing story about life after the Flood. Spelling and grammatical errors are consistent throughout and needs to be fixed.
I am at the end of book 3 now and the series is great.
it is amazing how the people before the flood are so like today and how quickly they go back and away from jehovah.
I WiSH Mr. Heppner would take this series farther for the people of Isreal. Like how Isreal came to be after Abram, etc. and what about Melchisedek( good book about him by Traylor, I think)
Anyway I enjoy historical fiction as opposed to fantasy tyoes with made up land. Just saying..I will read book 4 in this series next. God bless all.
Got hooked on Vaughn Heppner through his Doom Star Series and ventured out into his biblical fiction. A great supplement to old testament religious reading in that it provides a little creative enhancement to color in the story. Not for everyone, but it did help me to reenergize my studies and enthusiasm with my religious reading. Purchased and read all of the Lost Civilizations and Ark Chronicle, Lod, and Doom star series. Waiting for more...
As a Bible scholar, I am slow to choose fictional stories based on historical fact and as a Christian, I consider the story of Noah and the Arc historical fact. The deeper truths which are hinted upon in Biblical accounts such as the Sons of God and the Nephilim are available to be fleshed out with literary freedom. I believe Vaughn Heppner holds true to historical accounts and even ancient literature such as the "Book of Enoch" and "Epic of Gilgamesh" which this story doesn't go into, although it is a good lead in. Noah had to have been a very strong character in those days, which were some of the worst days of mankind's history, as we are doomed to repeat ourselves. I appreciate this piece of work and will seek out other historically based works of Vaughn Heppner in the future. A thrilling read from the first to the last page!
I immensely enjoyed the Ark Chronicles -- I 'baptized' my newly-acquired Touch with the four books of the series. They reminded me of the old Peter Danielson 'Children of the Lion' series. Yes! I would definitely like to see the Genesis-based series continue and beyond. After all, the Bible has many wonderful, adventurous stories.
I would have liked to have seen books #2, #3, and #4 have the X-Ray feature available like it was with the first book. I was surprised it wasn't. X-ray has great potential, especially in a series with recurring characters.
My only real complaint (although I was prepared from reading other reviews) were the misspellings and I agree that a good copy editor/proofreader would be a plus.
